Common Questions

Is BinDayTracker free?

Yes — checking your bin day, and email, SMS and push reminders, are all free with no account required to look up a schedule.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Anyone can search an address and see the schedule instantly. An account is only needed to turn on reminders.

Where does the schedule data come from?

Directly from each council's own published waste collection system — see our data sourcing guide for exactly how, council by council.

What if my council isn't listed?

We only show real data — we never display a sample or placeholder schedule for an unsupported area. Search your address anyway; if it's not covered yet you can register your interest and we'll notify you when it is.

Does my bin day change on public holidays?

For supported councils that have published a holiday-shift policy, yes — see our public holiday guide for how this works and which holidays typically apply.

How often is the data updated?

Schedules are fetched live from your council for each lookup, and a weekly automated check confirms every council's data source is still reachable.
