Maroondah covers Melbourne's outer east — Ringwood, Croydon, Heathmont and Kilsyth — and is one of the few Victorian councils with a blue-lidded recycling bin instead of the usual yellow.
Red or green-lidded bin, collected every week.
Blue-lidded bin — Maroondah's own colour, unlike most other Victorian councils' yellow.
Lime green-lidded bin for food scraps and garden organics.
Maroondah collects general waste on every public holiday, even Christmas Day — no shift needed.
